retro build

so my lights finally came in the other day along with the retro kit. still waiting for another set of lights to arrive to paint and install should be a few more days

but till then i am in the process of painting the shrouds and putting the halos on which were a bitch the mini shrouds have no room on the back to put holes at all. here are a few pics

next up is painting the shrouds but if any1 has the buyhids.com kit chime in

cause for one i notice only one relay which is normal for the newer lights cause my old ones had two.

also on the passenger side of the relay it has a ground, high/low plug and another plug that idk what its for, i mean i no that sumthin needs to plug into the main harness thats connected to the car but that plug looks like the one that plugs into a ballast ??

more pics will be up in a few days

on the relay the blue plug plugs into your driver headlight harness. than you ground the black to the bolt under the headlight bracket and the positive goes to the fusebox post.
for the pass side all you have to do is plug the relay in and ground it. the blue connector stays unplugged.

i said the same thing and was confused.

ok so leave the blue plug unconnected but what about the other plug

so what plugs into the plug beside the blue connector

and where does this plug go to this is the pass. side of the relay

Yes, that other connector on the passenger side goes to the ballast. You might have to make a longer ground wire, I had to do some tricky wire routing to get mine to reach the fender bolt

you need to put the factory harness on your pass side, the HID bulb plugs into the ballast, the balast then plus into the New harness. and you need to ground the pass side. the small black connector with two wires is for the High beam solenoid.

the blue 9007 connector doesnt plug into anything on the pass side.

u dont have the part of the harness that pluggs into that piece? it should be on the stock harness if thats what your using
mine is from buy hids and its a revised stock harness since the wires had to be switched around.

H7 4th gens

I think this is how I have it now

Both ballast wires are connected to the hid connectors and the hid power is somewhere, and turn signals and high beams on the stock harness. I think I'm missing a plug somewhere that's connected but can't remember where it comes from. But I have the harness for my fogs too which isn't being used
