so starting to acquire the parts for my retrofit. figured i could attempt it. picked up a set of projectors from the junk yard. im not sure if i can do it with these. they are a 9006 projector from a lexus es300 (early 2000's). projectors are in good shape, the car was not so much. looked like a train hit the rear end. anyway. a possible problem im seeing is that the were two projectors in the each headlight. they were not mounted individually, but as the pair. i have a feeling this will cause me to have a problem mounting them inside my headlights.... unless there's some trick mount them, or if theres a bracket i can get to do such. a little advice/help would be appreciated. i would just go ahead and get a set of new projectors from the retrofitsource, but im kinda on a budget...

Don't use those. Those are single xenon (so you won't have high beams) and are not a hid projector, they are a halogen projector. Only get a projector that is bixenon, and only use a projector that uses a D1S, D2S, D3S, or D4S bulb. A big projector does not mean a good projector.

fck..........not gonna lie, feeling a little discouraged now. i was goin for the 9006 so i'd have somethin a little different. was going to attempt doing the low beams where the stock bulb is, and place the high beams where the turn signal is, and use an amber led halo on the outside for the turn signal. guess that idea is shot

you supply the housings and you're done. much less of a headache. These are the ones that BuyHIDs uses. i bought a set and did mine. took longer to paint and let it dry than anything else.
