Rust spot

My girl has a Cobalt LS and her car has this nasty rust spot. I was wondering if there is anything I can do about it before I take it to a body shop.

sand it to bare metal, prime and touch up paint. clear and buff. wont be pro job, but cheapest way to get rid of it.

Yeah this site is especially inundated with false information... wait no, that's just the internet. Anyone who believes everything they read on the internet is a moron

So now that we've solved the false information problems on the internet, let's start on the spelling... I especially hate when the internet is inundated with grammatical errors, just saying.
