?'s about carbon fiber trunk
?'s about carbon fiber trunk
im sure this has been answered before, but im at work and dont always have time to look...
i was wondering about the best quality / best fit of a carbon fiber trunk and where i should buy it? i've heard there are a lot of fitment issues, and i dont want gaps or a leaking trunk (its always sunny hear, but washing my car...)
i probably want an OEM style hood, but may think about scoops/vents. i live in Southern California and will probably have to pay a boat load for shipping, but thats to be expected. any help would be greatly appreciated

i have VIS. it doesn't fit perfect and it leaks from the reverse lights. note: with VIS you have to drill your own holes and the trunk has to be modded for everything to fit
what do you mean you have to drill everything? i don't need a spoiler, but i'd imagine everything should be set to transfer lights, latch, key, etc. why would i have to drill all of that?
-reverse light mounting holes need to be drilled
-reverse light center hole needs to be opened up with a dremel
-trunk lock opening needs to be opened up with a dremel
-drill holes for third brake light
-dremel out the opening for the third brake light a little
-locking mechanism holes need to be drilled
read the PM.kinda things i already knew, some i didn't......
i kinda want it cause it will look good with my gray car, plus i wanted to try and go wingless, and this was a way i could do it without plugging holes (no one really has a slate metallic car to trade things off of)

there is the one "bumpstop" that you can adjust which is that little piece that touches the trunk mount to. and then you can loosen the actual bracket from the car(2 bolts holding the trunk hinge to the car), there is a lot of play in that and room for adjustability
