920 921 922 License Plate LED Light Bulbs 5-SMD White: eBay Motors (item 150484214077 end time Nov-21-10 16:26:11 PST)

SMDs are what I used to replace my reverse bulbs. As far as I know, these will replace the Cobalt 921 slots in the reverse lights.

LEDs are generally not as bright as incandescent bulbs, SMD style bulbs are a good alternative because you can fit so many diodes on a small circuit board, but are still not as bright (as far as light output, not in their appearance) as incandescent bulbs.

Hiding a small set of 55w foglights behind the grills in the rear bumper would be very easy to do and would definitely provide adequate supplimental light when backing up, you could even use a set of projectors foglights and paint everything but the lens black to minimize what could possibly be seen.
