Shift knob size? Cobalt SS 2007

I'm wondering what the shift knob size is for the Cobalt SS 2007. I'm buying an aftermarket knob (and yes I already have the reverse lockout removed) but the sizes online are 10x1.25, 12x1.25, 8x1.25, 10x1.50, 12x1.50. I have called GM and looked online but I cannot find the stock shifter thread size for the life of me... please help

also, this is what i'm buying http://www.m.amazon.com/Kei-Project-...7YEZS3S98B3NSH

you cant use a threaded ball. Im pretty sure the stock shifter rod isnt threaded. The stock knob is pressed on and bolted to the rod through the top. You have to use a ball that has the set screws to tighten.

You can see the allen head set screws in the plate on the bottom of that knob. Thats what you need.

There may be some type of adapter out there that uses set screws to mount to the rod and then has a threaded rod sticking out the top to screw a ball on to.
