alright buddy. so i went the hard way about finding hids, pretty much i have gone through 2 sets in 2 months because the first set sucked ass. i have an 06 cobalt ss/sc and i have aftermarket headlight lamps made by DEPO and at first i had 6000k hids in from HID Lights HID Kits Xenon Headlights Kit HID Headlight Kits HID Conversion Light and they were awful. so dim and like, mostly blue. which from everybody, i was under the impression that 6000k was decently white. but i guess not. anyways. i bought from that site to save 10 dollars off of the site that my brother gave me. but i made a huge mistake. my brother has had numerous hid kits for the 4 different cars he has had and he suggests HIDPALACE.COM. so bck to my car. i went to them and ordered the 5000k H7 bulb kit because my new lamps have different bulbs from the stock lamps. but this kit is amazing. i put them in and when they are warming up they are like a light blue and once they have heated up, they are basically white. im sure you know the lower kelvin or k you go the brighter the headlights, so if you want them bright stay 6000k or lower. its all about preference but i definitely recomend HIDPALACE and if you have H7 bulbs i recomend the 5000k kit. they are amazing.

8k 55w = 6k. 55ws usually wash out 1-2k in temp.

hahahahahaha this post is sig worthy

FYI:

4300K is a slightly off white, 5000K is pure white, and 6000K has a slight tinge of blue. All OEM applications use 4300K bulbs. As you move up the Kelvin scale, your lumen rating will drop a bit, this is why we do not recommend or sell bulbs over 6000K.
That being theretrofitsource.com

Red_John is correct. As for our HIDs, 5,000k is more OEM HID White, 6,000k Is PURE white and out 8k is where blue starts to mix. These colors are with reflectors. With Projectors, theres less color seem and more white with 8k. Cutoff line is where the color is mostly.

BuyHIDs kits for high and low beam is too expensive it seems. ZZP's kit (who ever they are) are $90 for both high and low. $194 with adding Fogs

BuyHIDs is $260 for high and low with Fogs

ZZPs i believe are High/Low Kits which are HID low Halogen Highs just like out High/Low Kits. Our Bi-Xenons are "True" Bi-Xenons with a bulb that tilts for proper highbeam pattern where others the bulb goes in a out which barely changes the pattern of light. We always have deals, just have to PM us and ask

That blue you see comes from this

See that blue in the cutoff? That's where all the blue you see comes from. Notice how white the light output is? That's the OEM 4300k bulbs.

But what happens on this board is people buy 8k and 10k HID's and put them in stock reflector housings trying to mimic color modded projector lenses, then are surprised when their light output is crap.

Forgive me but im not that savvy. Buying hid and putting them in my stock headlights do what? Obviously something not good but if they look better than my stock lights why would I be unhappy. Does buying anzo headlights make it better?

Thye look 100x better then stock lights. People frown on HIDs in reflector headlights because there not designed for HIDs and 90% of reflector headlights produce what we call glare. Lame terms is that it throws light everywhere and there is no solid cutoff. Cobalt/G5 headlights, for some reason the way they are designed produce little to no glare at all. It may look like it in pictures because cameras over expose light all the time, when in front of a balt/G5 its not blinding at all. Now we recommend them to go in projectors like our retrofits tho
