I'm serious when I say this is my favourite G5 on this site, everything was done so cleanly, there's no weird colours everywhere or unnecessary ****, its nice man, really nice!

why are the tails still grainy sanding looking? I always just use straight niteshade the ultimate compound. they come out very glossy and dark, but you can see the light extremely well.

don't mind the goofy ass face lol.

 

i wetsanded between coats and waxed after wards what more can i do

I've done about 5 sets of Tail-lights for local friends and I found that 2-3 Light coats of VHT and 5-6 coats of Clear Coat is the best technique. After that final clear coat hardens up and dries (I used a blow-dryer to assist the curing / drying process) I used 1000 Grit sandpaper and sanded down the orange peel a little. I then used 2000 grit sandpaper (wetsand) and was pretty gently with it. I applied 3-4 coats of POLISHING COMPOUND by hand and buffed it out by hand, The final coat of polishing compound I used a buffer to really get the shine through (I used a little bit of moisture to add a little more sheen to it)

nah i actually jsut did them again and there so glossy ... but only issue i see with them is i have the outter part blacked out with spray paint its held for over a year and i cant seem to get it to shine like the vht. and id rather not strip them down and try again but u can tell in some spots where iv painted them stripped them and painted them so many times lol

 

new tails and what do u think about the cutoff for my fogs? to high maybe or no?
