Spray Can Clear Coat

Hey guys recently picked up the ss side skirts and used the colormatch duplicolor spray paint to paint it. the color is a perfect match the clearcoat i used is horrible though. Any suggestions as to which clearcoat to use to get it to shine and reflect like the finish on the car does. Got the day off tomorrow and need something to do lol

find someone you know that has a spray gun in their garage, you cant compare spray gun clear to can clear lol, but try dupli color wheel paint clear. high heat no chip wheel paint. not sure how it would turn out on the side skirts but i used it for my supercharger and valve cover after painting the color on. stuff shines really nice and doesnt come off!! gotta do 3 light coats and 1 heavier coat 15-20 minutes apart

about the only thing you could do is use that perfect match clear wet sand it then add more clear then if there's anymore imperfections wetsand even more then clear some more then after about 48 hours buff it out 4 or 5 or however many times u think is needed. it'll shine up considerably more than not buffing it at all.

if you want to clear then you will need more then a day for in to totaly cure.... most times you want to wait at least 36 hours.... duplicolor makes a pre mixed clear coat that i have been using all week that is great... not as good as the cars clear but close.... it is a laquer so if the spray in the can you used was anything els you cant use it....
