Not to be that guy, but again:

Those of you who have used plasti-dip on their wheels, how many cans did you use? I want to do mine sometime soon.

Doublepost fail.

one can per wheel. you really just have to clean it good and then tape good. it'll look like it'll be runny but it always dries perfectly. i did two wheels at a time and it took about 3-4 hours. most of the time was spent letting them dry and keeping my friends entertained. they sell a make your own color kit with plasti dip but you'll need an aerosal sprayer after you mix your colors.

That's what i did. I used a pack of cards and 3/4 can on each rim. I changed my tires a month later and had to take it all off my rims. Comes off with gasoline. Not going to lie though...took a few hours to get it all off.

Sorry if the pictures are small idk how to make them any larger.

What are you using 1 oz cans?

I use one can for all four wheels of the Duplicolor Gold.

usually when you clear coat, you do it right before the paint is completely dry. The paint has a sticky feel to the touch.

I put it on thick in about 4-5 layers each wheel inside and out. I still have 3/4 a can left but better have more than have to go back for more.

2-3 cans of plastidip. you really dont need alot because all you have to do is cover the surface. the more you put on doesnt really change anything.

Rattle can is sweet. I recently painted mine bronze after having them black for a year. Left the bronze for a week and I think it looks ok but not on the s/c wheel, just to much wheels for that color so I'm going black again, already sanded and bought my paint. I'll post pics hope they come out good like before

Plasti dipped

I just plasti dipped my sc wheels it took me 3 cans to completely cover them with good even coats. I did it as I changed my brakes. After all of that I went to the car wash later about 5 or 6 hours later. I wanted to see if they would hold up to a power washer. They did and still look good too (if you like the matte finish like I do). Let me know if you wanna see pictures I will take a few. It adheres really quickly but very easy to do.
