spray painting stock intercooler

Yes i realize its not an actual intercooler just didnt know what to call it. Anyways i took my license plate off yesterday and i my intercooler is dark grey ish i guess. I was wondering if i could spray it with like a chrome paint, dont really know what color it is but its the color a lot of SRT's have with the Huge FMIC. what you guys think? ricey? gay? What kind of spray paint could i use and what color. I would just like it to stand out a little bit more.

Assume you are talking about the heat exchanger for the blower.

In theory, it will be more efficient at dumping heat if it is flat black but in reality, it seems to be a small difference. Don't think I would go with anything too glossy though, maybe a flat aluminum colour?

Whatever you decide to do, don't get the paint on so thick that it cuts down on the airflow through it....don't want your intake temps going through the roof
