ss lower trim on LS rear bumper

are there any knock off kits that allow the install of something that looks like the ss trim on the rear bumper of an LS cover?

I've got an SS, and replaced the rear bumper cover on it with an LS, thinking they were the same covers, after removing the lower trim, it's clear they are different.

Has anyone successfully mounted the ss trim on an LS rear? it may work, but don't want to start cutting holes if it's not going to fit.

thanks

Why didn't you just buy an SS bumper if you have an SS?

the trim wont fit. the ss style sits much lower on the sides near the wheel wells compared to the ls style. why didnt you just replace it with a ss bumper?

OP, are you a true SS or are you trying to make an LS look like an SS?

IDK usually that would indicate that he has something that doesn't work properly. IDK like maybe an LS

I don't even see why his model would even matter at this point.

Since we are all good at assuming

I would assume that your comment was starting to sound a little condesending towards LS model owners... No where in his question did he reference or ask if an SS model bumper would fit on an LS, more likely than not the guy damaged the back bumper and was strapped for cash and just bought the cheaper bumper.

i have an ss, rear end was bashed up.

bought an LS bumper cover at a junk yard for $250, no one had red ss bumper covers in good condition (and i'm not paying $700 for a new one) & my lip was not damaged, that's why i thought we could pop it on with some modification

issue is being resolved though, the lip will fit on there. called up a body shop here and we took measurements and it will work. (they are different dimensions on the bottom, but where the lip gets mounted on the ss bumper cover, it's the same distances from top down on the LS. the only thing that will need to be modified is a few mountaing tabs) and said it would only take about two hours to get it on. i'll probably come back for the car and post a pic later, not in a big rush to get it back since it just sits at our other house collecting dust and bird crap on it

not strapped for cash. insurance check was for over $2700, i'll have this thing back 100% for $1100. $500~ for parts, $600 for labor and materials. that means $1600 pocketed... and why i was doing the repairs as cheap as possible.
