SS Steering Wheel Emblem
Anyone change the steering wheel center cap? I know the SS Impala and the SS Monte have the SS cover but not the SS Cobalt. Thats dumb. Anyway, anyone replace it? Where can you get them? The only place ive found them is when buying a while airbag for the SS Monte or Impala. Thats way to expensive, like 5 or 6 hundo.

the cover isnt servicible, you have to replace the entire airbag assy. You might be able to pry it off and glue an SS on there. Thats what the SRT-4 guys do with the ram heads on the airbag.

Here are a couple we did for the Trailblazer SS they fit right over the top of the stock center caps. They should work for the cobalt but if you can remove the existing center cap they should work even better. Just another option.

They are actually a vinyl decal with a polyurethane resin applied over the top to give them a raised look. They are a little flexible which helps them to stick to the center cap. The issue with these may be the bowtie on the center cap these are raised more than the SS on the trailblazer so there may be a problem with adhesion. If it is not a total pain to remove the center cap these would fit nicely.

I believe that you can pry off the center piece. If someone could measure the diameter and thickness I bet some of the vendors on here would create a replacement since there seems to be a want for the SS (or custom) logo instead of the bowtie.
