Stock Style Vs. SS Style

Lets say you were going to put a carbon fiber hood on your black ss/sc. Would you go with the hood that looks just like the stock hood or would you go with the SS style from IPP. One of the things ive noticed is the regular style doesnt have a prop rod support built in but the SS hood does.

Which one would you get?

I would go SS style. I think it looks pretty cool. Besides, if I'm replacing something and I have the option to improve on the stock styling, I would. Always liked making it look the way I want.

Anyone know about fitment issues? I saw a yellow SS/SC that had really bad fitment.

Prolly just because it is "STOCK" I am looking into either the RKsport CF hood, or that SS CF Hood, I am kinda torn.... But I do like the SS look!

Ditto. But, your car, your choice, brother. With a black car, you'd have to be close to realize it's carbon fiber, so I'd go with the one that deviates as much from the original style to bring more attention to it.

I know a CF hood wont save that much weight but it all adds up... plus i like the look or a the hood scoops. looks agressive

I personally would wait at least another year before buying A CF hood. I have seen the material for a lot of these hoods and it is not impressive at all. My air jordans have higher quality CF than most of these hoods. Also I have seen a lot of alignment issues with them. When you are looking for a product and only 1 - 3 company's make it then you should wait. Competition drives quality up and prices down. I know it is hard to wait we are all in the same boat but it would be greatly beneficial. Just like the guys with SC Dyne headers and TOG Header. They shot themselves in the foot buying those. When in a year there will be sooooo many choices out there. Just my 2 cents

I am planning on purchasing the SS Style hood. I think it looks sweet. The RK Hood is nice too.
