suede??

anyone know of a place i can buy some cut yardage of alcantara suede so i can do my door panels?? also i have a buddy who wants to put red coach fabric on the seats in his jeep...havent been having much luck with either...any input??

im talking about the stuff they use in the grand prix gxp and some of the high end cars...alcantara suede...its like synthetic suede and can handle moisture and all that stuff

Special Order that fabric through general motors if you can, because i currently have suede door inserts and if you don't get the right stuff it will wear on the edges and you'll have to do it all over again. my suggested would be putting padding underneath the suede and scotch guarding/waterproofing the suede to ensure that you get a good job the first time because doing it more than once is just a pain.

i found a place online that actually sent me a sample swatch. search on yahoo. i remember it being like $100 FOR ONE YARD haha

my dad's TBSS has it in the seats and it is great material. it is found in pretty much any high end german car, and is very cool stuff

I got some microfiber suede a while back at Joanne Fabrics. If they don't have a Joanne around there, try a local fabric shop.

alcantara is basically the stuff im looking for...GM uses it so does lexus and i think even lambo has it in the gallardo superleggera
