Switchback LED's

So i bought some switchback led turn signals.. Type 1 V-LED Its about 90 days and all but one row of white lights are burned out on both bulbs. The amber ones are still functioning properly. To say the least I'm pretty pi**ed about this. When i put the bulbs in, the turn signals functioned properly, so i didn't use any resistors. Anyone know what happened here? Want to figure it out before i spend another $60.

I have a 06, mine are turn signal drls. I know on v-LEDs website it said the type 2 switchbacks can't be used with drls. But the amber on the switchback is what is working.. Drl is amber. When I turn my headlights on, they switch to white, and amber signal.

Yea, no Drl fuse for mine. The drls are the turn signals, I've tried everything to bypass it. Basicly I need a tech II scan tool to disable it.

This kinda crap always happens to me. Eh. I'm going to do more research. I don't think I have two faulty bulbs. You think that is possible?

what im confused about is u didnt have to use resistors? did u already have like led tail lights or sumthin with resistors cause that may have been an issue with them as well idk

Yea, i thought it was odd as well, i have the stock tail lights no other leds other then the switchbacks. Didn't need a resistor to stop hyper flash, it just worked.

I learned my lesson man. $80 for a set of Chinese LEDs... They better come with lifetime warranty and put out like 6000 lumens

i bought the platinum series 6000k 20 led bulb. where is the drl fuse? i think the drl does make ur turn signal bulb die a lil quicker than usual.

I know on my 98 TA the drl's are in the turn signal and behind the factory radio there is a black box with a blue plug, unplugged it al no more gay drl's. My cheap $15 led's from ebay have held up great. Only problem with the 09 TC the drl's are the low beam so I keep having to turn the drl's off everytime I get in so I don't kill my hid's.

my switchbacks dont work on my 2010... depending on which way i flip them i get white or amber... i've got whichever set flips back and forth between white and amber with the blinker on... If i have them set for amber i only get them when the blinker is on... if i have them set for white they only come on when i'm running fogs during the day and they try to alternate colors but just turn the white on and off with the blinker on...

with that said the RED LED lamps i got to put in my tail lights do something similar. I either get a running light OR a brake light... i cant have both and it depends on which way i have them installed.

i got everything from VLEDs a number of months ago...

Go pull the drl fuse in the fuse box under the hood so you don't have to keep turning them off...
