had them on my last car and just put them on the commuter.... I have always loved them!!! it's the best $40 you'll spend
I've heard the Ultra's don't last very long.... stick with the regular silverstars

they are going to be my next set. The one's I have now are 80/100w and are nothing but a damn flood light. Have you decided on silverstars or ultra silverstars?

silverstars are amazing, they are IMO the step down from HIDs, but from 3.5 years of experience in all 4 spots(projectors and fogs) i cannot for the life of me get these to last more than 6 months. i had a customer today ask me to put them in for him in his trailblazer. same deal. every 4 months. GREAT BULB THOUGH! just expensive over time.

I had a pair of Silverstars in my Cavalier for a couple years and they were still working when I sold the car a few months ago.

I have had Silverstar Ultras in my Caprice for two years now, and no problems. And i have Silverstar H1s in the Cobalt, and haven't had any problems with them either.

Whiter, brighter, light, at about 4300*K Way better than any other lights i've had, (except the 6000K HIDs on the Cobalt as well).
I don't know whats up with the lifespan problems, i have had both the same sets for two years.

I'm on my third set, yes they look pretty good, but they've each lasted me less than 6 months. Sylvania warrantied them for me, but still $50 or so for 6 months of light is alot. I could have spent like $150 and just gotten an HID kit and been done with it.

I had a set of Silverstar Ultras burn out within 6 months. It turns out that the rough roads in town abused my headlamp assembly. I added a rubber grommet to the headlamp supports. Now my current set is about 1.5 years old.
