Sylvania Silverstar Bulbs... Do not get them

So I purchased the the silverstar bulbs for the head lights about a year and two months ago and the driver side went out two months ago and now two days ago the passenger side. I can't believe for $45 they only last for 1 year . When the first one went I thought oh I might have touched the bulb. Now that the second one went I called up customer service and they said yea they are only meant to last one year because of the element that they put in to make it bright and the coating on the glass causes them not to last long.

If I would haver know that then I wouldn't have bought them. On top of that when I was pulling the grill back to get the head light out the plastic grill cracked because it was cold out . Not enough to really notice it but I know it's there. Crate engine has them for $90.Guess I will have to save up.

Yeah I bought silverstars once on my last car and the cheapo-bulbs that came with the e-bay projectors were better looking (brightness, whiteness) than the silvers were.

I have silverstars in my projectors right now. I could care less if they only last for a year, i'm looking for HID's.

But when you install new headlights take the bulbs and do a very light rinse of alcohol to take off ALL grease from fingers that may have touched them during production

silverstars dont do much for our cars anyway.
Our stock bulb is very very close to the same output.

worst money I ever spent too.

I'm thinking about ordering Street Glows 9007's . The ones I had in my last car lasted for 2 years but I guess they pulled them off the shelf at the major stores because they were pulling too much amps. Pep boys told me I can order them through them . I installed the old ones back into the car to get me buy.

Does anyone know if this grill Cobalt SS Radiator Grille Upper 15276343 is the black one or the gray one that came with the stock Blue 05's

If you have them in your sunfire then forget it . The effect would not be the same. But thanks for offering. Also thanks for the advice I guess I will keep searching
