taking the front bow-tie off

how did you guys take the front bowtie off? please help... or post a thread that has the info i cant seem to find it

ratchet, 9 mm socket i believe. Go in through the hood latch hole at the top of the grill. Handle down inside so u have room to move back and forth when ur in there. Put one hand of the bowtie and then find the nuts with ur ratchet. They are plastic or tin or some BS, they come right off. Take them off and pull, its not glued or anything should come right off.

just what p7x said and they are chep ass aluminum. look at my sig, took mine off and painted it black. dont forget to apply clear coat when your done.

I just painted my bow tie...well i was kinda forced to paint it. I picked at it and the gold foil that was on the back, creased up and looked like crap on there.

You should tape off the chrome and just paint the center of the bow tie. Thats what i did today and it looks awsome!!!!

either that or take off the bowtie it self. its only held on to by two sided tape.
