06blackSC, thanks for the comments. Once it was off and finshed, I never looked back. It's by far the best exterior mod I have done. I'd love to ditch the antenna, but I can't see spending the money to have the side of my car repainted! Maybe if I ever have the entire car painted a custom color I will, but I doubt that will happen.

No sweat, i just talked to my friend that is doing the work and he told me he would have to do the entire quarter panel in new paint, he couldn't blend black no matter how hard he tries. I'm going to try a really short antenna like the ones on the s2000. those things are only like 3 inches tall.

I would shave my base model of its ugly golden bowtie, but I wouldn't want to decrease the value of the car. I'm just a little worried. If it weren't for that, that sucker would be gon by Saturday on my day off. Lol. Anybody think the dealership would care too much about the emblem???

They have it posted somewhere here. Please use the search. But I removed mine on Saturday. Everythings in one piece and I don't see how I got along with it. Looks ALOT better. More than what a picture can tell you. I guess it's just one of those "must see" type deals. All I need now is a clay bar to remove some of the remaining residue. Can't really tell unless you're close and are looking for something.

I just got my car back from Crown Chevrolet in Lawrence. There is no badging on the trunk. It looks great. Now I just need to find a cheap but good place to get the lock shaved.

I dont really care for the lip kit, I would rather do a complete 2.4 SS front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper. Then a carbon fiber hood and trunk. Those things can be reversed, shaving the antenna you cant. I would like to do it but its a lease for 4 years. As far as springs, i thought about it, but i would want to upgrade the struts when i install some springs. Plus I owe $1,200 for college, so everything is on hold.

I like your rationale. I do like the RK sport lip kit but there is absolutely nothing wrong with gettting the factory SS body kit.

Well the way im thinking, the car is mine for the next 4 years, so I should make it the way i want it to, then either buy it out at the end or switch it all back to stock, trade the car in, and sell the aftermarket parts I put on. Anyways back to topic i guess.

My car came without a spoiler and even better, all it says is Cobalt on the back. No LS or nothing. Then with the bowtie gone it looks even better. I agree with Rolover360 with the SS kit, only I would put a different rear bumper on. I know which one I want but can't remember the name for anything right now.
