Got a white cobalt ss,

What tint percent would you guys go with or do you have?

 

I got 5% limo on the back 3 and 50% on the front two. It's illegal in Illinois to have front unless everything is above 35%. I don't like the look of 35% all the way around.

 

I'd do 20% all the way around minus the front window, I think that would look very good...not to dark were you can't see but dark enough

 

I was thinking 15%. Does anyone have a pic of their cobalt with 20 and 15 %'s ??

You might want to look at the laws for your province as to what is the darkest legal tint, otherwise you may have the mounted raising an eyebrow at you.

20 or 15% is the best cuz around here cops really notice.. as long as the can see your outline of you they wont pulll u over (as much) ha cuz with 5% i got pulled over a couple of times

Car's not white, but this is 15% on doors and back windows.

 

whatever you do dont follow the laws that **** is too light, (35% in cali) to even make a difference so if its gonna be illegal you mine as well just go 5% all around just like me

 

+1 i had a good tinter who did it for me, i saw a stealership tint without it and it looks horrid

35% all around, IMHO. Too dark makes the car look like dick. You just want that nice shade that gives the car some class, not limo all around that makes you look like a drug dealer.

Also, doing different % in the back than up front looks like crap too. Example: 20% rear, 35% front. It's noticeable and looks tacky.

But hey, most of the population on here is kids and of course they will say limo. Oh well. I can't see that **** from my garage.

 

it sucks here in utah the legal limit is 43% in the front and you can't touch the windshield

 

im going 35% up front and 5% limo in the back 3. still kinda see in, and see out perfectly fine

 

I think I have 30% on the front and 5% on back three, my back one looks like **** though . About a month after I got it back it started bubbling. The other four however look spectacular.

I can see perfectly fine out the sides at night, and couldn't back up with the rear view cause of the spoiler anyways but can still see out decent.

How are the Calgary cops about tint?

70% factory tint.

 

5% all around with 16% on the windshield. Any lighter is fail.

 

how is seeing out the back at night? is it hard? like if you didnt have a spoiler could you still see good?

Graham (CalgaryBalt) has 20% on his windows and has had no problems yet. i heard that the CPS doesnt care if your not driving like an ******* and they can see how many people are in the car. so dont speed! but as soon as you go out of the city, roll down your windows! RCMP hate tint

 

20% is the way to go. It's dark, but not too dark that any haters will really give you trouble for it. You can still see out of the back windows and everything at night as well. Unless it's really dark wherever you are, but that'd be a problem with anything.
