Tint % ?
how is seeing out the back at night? is it hard? like if you didnt have a spoiler could you still see good?
Graham (CalgaryBalt) has 20% on his windows and has had no problems yet. i heard that the CPS doesnt care if your not driving like an ******* and they can see how many people are in the car. so dont speed! but as soon as you go out of the city, roll down your windows! RCMP hate tint

Interesting information guys.
I have the coupe, so really there are only two windows to tint (driving and passenger) besides the two small ones and back window. I think I am going to go with 15%, probably do it sometime in the summer. I will post pics when I get it done. I had a protege before my ss and I got 20% on it, it looked really nice and had no problems with vision. But on a white car, the darker the tint.. the better it looks. So I am going to try 5% darker.

just anything 20 or below man...all these people talking about 35 and not wanting to look like a drug dealer imo is retarded my tint serves its purpose in many ways. keeps the car cooler in the summer, keeps the sun mostly out of your eyes(i like not having to wear sunglasses in my car), helps with sun damage to dash over time, And i Like the privacy a darker tint provides. and i can see just fine out of my windows at night(except backing up..but thats really not that big of a deal at all)
all up to you though i think your making a good choice and look forward to the results.

obey your local laws unless you feel like paying for more then just the tint job. it's stupid to test these peoples to see how far you can get. eventually it will catch up to you and it always does, doesn't matter if it's a day later or a year later, you're gonna run into the wrong guy on the wrong day. listen to these kids if you want to but they won't be paying for your ticket or removing your tint for you. again obey your local law or you will pay the price.
i've known to many guys including my son that have learned the hard way. oh, and following really shitty advice is a big fail.

spoken like a young kid. life catches up to us all and if you believe it won't keep playing the game. and fyi a speeding tint trumps a tint ticket any day. again like i said spoken like a young kid.
Yes darker tint looks better, but it also has a lot of positive attributes. I don't like people being able to look into my car and seeing a blackberry, shades, gps or whatever I have in my vehicle. It scares me, I also know that in the summer my leather seats are going to get hot and my dashboard is eventually going to fade.
Obviously darker tint means less visibility which is a childish route just to make your car look nicer. But it is more than just vanity, I know cops want to be able to see the driver & passenger (their sex, see if their seatbelt's are on etc..). I can roll down my windows whenever I see a police officer otherwise well I would feel safer in a tinted car then a car thats not tinted at all.
Also, I live in Nepean, Ontario. There are no active tint law %'s that I have seen or read about. It is more a judgement call on the officer, and still I don't know many people who have been pulled over for illegal tint %.

I feel the same way achilles. my dad has had dark ass tint on every car hes owned hes 43 and has NEVER had a problem...soo ill take my chances. the benefits it provides outweighs the chance of getting pulled over in my opinion. rule of thumb if you get pulled over
ROLL DOWN YOUR WINDOWS, not only does that cut your chances way down on him noticing but its gonna make the cop feel better/safer. and if its at night turn your dome light on..it goes along ways..most of those guys have no idea what they are walking up to.

thats badass....the college town i live in cops dont care about tint
when i had 1% all around with 35% on the windshield and the first time i left the college town I got pulled over by a state trooper on the way home and got pulled over in my real hometown...
it looks awesome IMO but all the tickets i got over the past few years make it not worth it
