Tinting

I was just told by a tinting company near me that it would cost me 50 to 100 dollars to get my whole car tinted.

I was just wanted to see what everyone else has and how they like it.
I was thinking 20% all around except front windshield and 5% strip on front windshield.
Maryland's legal limit is 35%.

I paid 220 for mine. 5% on rear windows, 20% on driver and passenger side, and 5% strip up front.

The car is a Black SS/NA coupe. Yeah they're reliable. I work at a bank and one of my customers referred me to them. He has 5% on his White Escalade and it looks sweet.

How is visibility on the rear windshield?

You're telling me. The guy with the Escalade paid $50 for his whole SUV tinted 5%.

I don't think I'll be going in that direction. 20% should be good on the rear window.

I wish you had a better picture of your rear. That one isn't exactly directly on the rear window.

I got 4% on all of my windows and I love it! People drive up beside me all of the time trying to see into my car and they can't. I have to admit though, it can be a beast to drive at night with windows tinted as dark as mine. I can't see anything that doesn't have lights (at night). The shop that installed my tint said that I am the only person who has the new 4% tint on their car. It used to be that the darkest you could buy was 5%. Don't expect to get away with tint as dark as mine unless you have a prescription from your doctor (which I do). I paid $200 to have all but the windshield tinted, then paid $25 extra for the 6" strip along the front-windshield, and $25 extra for the ultra-limo-tint. I paid about $270 total after taxes.

I paid $100 cash no questions asked for 5% all the way around. You can see fine out of it during the day. Night its hard as hell to see at times. Realllllyyy nice though when someone behind you has HID's or forgets how to turn off highbeams

x2.. i got 5% also. i love it. during the day if the sun is like 'beside' you glaring in your side window you dont even really notice it. hard to see at night but you can always roll the windows down and see just fine.

yea have no problems, i can see the headlights so i know where cars/ motorcycles are.

it takes about a week of night driving to get used to. when i replaced the on window, i drove for a few days without tint on one side, and i truely felt naked. people could see me now.

35% on front windows, 5% strip on windshield, and match the 35% for rear. Go any darker then 35% in rear and you can't see **** at night.

What about 15% or 18% at night? That's what I'm thinking about getting in the next few weeks (or whenever the gov't sends me my tax return haha)

5% isnt as bad as everyone makes it out to be. But 20% would be just fine. almost perfect in my mind.

Man, i'm gonna call B.S. on the whole escalade for $50.00, that is not even enough money to pay for QUALITY tint to tint an entire large suv like an escalade.
Also, IMO 20% is great looking tint, it looks dark but you still safely see out of it at night. I have 5% all around on mine, but if i did it again i would probably do it in 20%.
