tinting tail light problem

i tinted my side markers with a tint spray and applied the duplicolor clear coat and it just doesnt look right.

i sanded the lights with wet sand 1500 grit before each clear coat and the lights dont looks glossy or shiny at all :S they after each clear coat application the light looks grainy, and sanding that done makes it smooth but at the same time it makes it looks very dull, almost as if i painted it with a sharpie :S

what am i doing wrong?

Get a small buffer and use it on the lights it should shine them right up!

Use polishing compound.
Don't use rubing.

also check the days humidity. Make sure it's not above 55f when you do the clear. I did it once and my clearcoat came out a hazy dull look

It's a bit more harsh, not a lot, but just a bit. but personally i think its totally worth it because it makes the car look a lot different lol

I looked at pics of the pro kit and it barely drops it lol They both might perform the same but i decided to go with the lower drop. On the 2.2's it drops it 2"front and 2.5" back. I think its the same on the 2.4's. Not sure though lol
