I have already been quoted 700$ primed for a metal one from someone claiming to sell this exact trunk on this site, hopefully the price could be more around $500-600 primed before shipping.
That would mean after shipping, painting and install it would cost under $1000.
Carbon Fiber would also be cool but I would end up painting it because it wouldn't go with my car, so then what the hell is the point of Carbon Fiber that is painted? Save like 5 pounds and spend a lot more. Doesn't make sense on a 20K sport compact.

Summary: Sell a metal one with no keyhole and no third brake light for under $600 primed and I'll buy one today!!!
thats more then likely never going to happen.....none of the carbon fiber companies selling parts for these cars offer a painted part other then maybe something you see on ebay. for metal it would be a lot more expensive then 700. you figure the cost of a metal trunk+ the fabrication work to get the spoiler correct and then primer. carbon fiber is more realistic and easier to include the options like the key hole and third brake light delete. i dont see how anyone else could sell this trunk we the op has the only one. bump we need an update

Some of us would like to have a clean look besides the NASA spoiler. This is the only spoiler that I've liked on our cars, and he won't make it.

Agreed. I've had the low-pro, high-rise, M3, and no spoiler on my car.. All of the set-ups I thought were ok.. That Tjin is nasty clean..

But the company still hasn't responded. Give us a phone number to call and we could go from there.

If they wanted our business, they would have been on here already. Either they're trying to figure if it's feasible to do, or they just don't give a ****. I'm thinking the latter is the case. And if Will already tried with no definite answer, then it most likely isn't going to happen.

There's many other companies who did this too. There were many one off parts, especially early on.. Tein anyone?

tein gave up on this car.....i even tried to get them to do a one off set of coilovers with the edfc and they told me no way. will and i both tried for a metal trunk and even offered to supply the trunk and they said no way that it was a one off deal. they are basically probablly trying to see if its worth building. figure in the cost of the mold and all that. if they arent going to make their money back and then some its not going to happen

Yes, but it's not like this is a group of guys with Caravans. These cars have gotten quite popular. And with the s/c's getting cheaper, you'll see even more. I see no fail here, only win.

i wouldn't want our cars to get that popular anyway. What kind of thoughts run through your head everytime you see a civic? I don't want mine to be instantly recognizable.

i think it would be alot easier to push if it was just the carbon wing. It would be way cheaper and universal.
