Agreed. But actually, our cars are kinda like an STI or something.. I still get excited when I see an SS around. You don't see them too much. I like that. Kinda like any "rare" car.. I mean, you see a Civic and you're like "damn, haven't seen one of those for 30 seconds.", but when a Cobalt SS rolls by, you're like "****, who's that guy?" There's actually more STI's in my area than there are Cobalt SS's..

 

I think the reason you are thinking "**** who's that guy" is because you own a CSS.

 

But you know what I mean. You don't see any of them, so they're still cool to see out..

your right. it would be easier to push just a spoiler but like it was said it wouldnt be as unique of a piece as having a whole trunk with a molded piece. all i know is im really hoping for this because i think the low rise looks like crap, i dont like the wingless look and the high rise blocks my view out of the rear view mirror lol. the whale tail is just a perfect fit for these cars.

This is actually one thing I would certainly put money down on depending on price.

I've been wanting one since I bought the car. I'm ok with carbon fiber since I won't need to paint it and I definitely need a keyhole if possible. lol

 

So I take it the CF one is not going to be made...

Gestapo, if you make some molds and have bolt on apps I'd take one. Could easily mold it in.

 

Yea man I just gotta learn how to make a mold. I was just researching it online. Gotta tape around it, lay down some VTA, then Gel coat, fiberglass matt over it, roll out the bubbles, let it cure, pull it off, then i have a mold i can make 1,000 with

 

Yea. I've been playing around with CF molds and it takes a couple to get it right. The gel was the hardest for me, making sure everything has that shine on it. Not sure if glass would have to deal with that though.

 

i doubt it, i was looking into some CF as well. Gotta use clear gel coat for that, then the CF gets laid down first with the other matt and resin behind it. Its that 1st layer of gel coat thats important cause thats what you see. But you can wet sand it and just spray clear over the top of it and buff it real nice im sure if need be
