to me thats not the COTM wing, thats the same Spoiler they have used for YEARS. they ditched the COTM wing.

either way if i get some spare time, maybe i will attemp to fab up somthing on a spare trunk. no supports, just a good weld top and bottom, should support it fo rth emost part.

as im thinking about it. it would probably be best if i Slit th etrunk and weld the spoiler on the inside of the trunk, this would hide the seam from the spoiler sitting on top of th etop or on the back face. and it would also be more rigid. anyone feel up to it? i work 6-7 days a week

the problem is, it would be a complete trunk not a little lip...you ever notice how far forward the spoiler holes are? 400 for a complete trunk with an added wing is cheap...i understand not eveyrone has funds but its the truth. thats the other reason people call this board fail.net because cobalt owners wont spend money where your suppose to...everyone makes a huge deal out of a 20 dollar difference between a garbage set of tires and badass set of tires or people complain that turbos are too much....thats the problem almost none of the people here would ever last in the camaro corvette mustang scene because if you think stuff here is expensive wait till you venture out to more popular and well known platforms....

ill be doing a nascar style blade.....im looking for function over form so that my room strakes will work.

still going to warp the crap out of the trunk...not to mention good luck getting a welder in there all the way across. your going to end up doing spot welds inside and a complete weld outside. fiberglass to metal is a failtastic way of getting problems later.

you need to remember it has to fit the width of the trunk...i think the cobalt trunks 34 inches across and you need the correct taper....

pain in the ass to make. on and off the car, getting the gaps right for the 1/4 since i like the wing almost touching the 1/4 when the trunks closed. i hate a gap there.
