Tried the new Turlewax ICE

I tried the new Turtle wax "ICE". The results are really good. It goes on extremely easy, no mess. Only down side I'm giving it is that I find it hard to get it all off. Maybe it is the cloth they give you, plus I'd recommend buffing it out if possible. But the car looked better than it did the day i picked it up. Here are some pics.

The pictures don't show the shine very well, and it was getting dark out, but figured I'd take the pics anyway.

I had the same problem getting mine off. I don't think I will use it again. The shine was great but I just don't have the time to spend 3 hours polishing my car.

don't blame you. I'm going to keep it, but will maybe looking into getting a orbitz buffer or something like that.

It leaves a good shine but I cant never seem to get it all off, I like having the white residue so I can see where its at, with this stuff you cant see it.
But it really shows where its at when you go down a dirt/gravel road.
So therefore I prefer Meguiars NXT wax.
Looks like you did a good job tho, just stay away from dirt!

what I have found after using only twice, do they best you can, then when it has had time to sit, go over it again, the oil look is easier to find that way... but yeah, I almost miss the white residue now, at least I knew where I had missed before.

looks nICE, haha, ok so that was dumb.

I'm not sure I'm going to try it after everyone saying how hard it is to get off. I have 2 bottles of dupont teflon wax anyways, good stuff.

i'm really liking the blue, now its time to lose a few inches, tint the windows a little and get rid of that god awful ugly muffler thing! nice car.

I love using ICE. It goes on easy, and I use 2 seperate MF towels. First one I apply the ICE until it clouds, then the Second one was to buff the cloudyness out. Takes about 45 minutes extra than just normal washing, but well worth it. It leaves the paint smooth as glass, and very glossy.

The only down side is that once the car is that clean, it becomes a DUST MAGNET. The second the car hits a dirt road, it becomes covered with a thin layer of dust/clay. I'm sure its not as noticable on a different color than black.

you would be amazed how much lowering will help even with stock tires. take a look at my pictures, I have the ssc springs from zzp, nothing huge but its a nice little difference that really sets the car off. I'm not getting new wheels until my stock tires are worn out, but even still it looks much better.

sorry to hijack the thread, I now return you to your normally scheduled reading.

i watched an infomercial on Ice wax and they said that unlike other waxes it is easyer to apply and remove when its hot outsiede. i tryed it and it is ALOT easyer to remove the wax when it is hot. i was suprised.

I have a buffer, but even with a buffer sometimes it's hard to get the wax off if you coat a section with a bit too much.

I was pleasantly surprised to find after my first wash all signs of residual wax were gone; looks like the wash was enough to remove the extra wax.

I use Meguar's Cleaner Wax, it removes all swirls and lasts a hell of a long time. Water is beeding for months after I use it. I highly recommend it, I love having no swirls on my car!

i like to use the ICE spray aswell. its probably easier than the gel,. i have both but havent opened the gel yet.

the spray is great. it can go over anything without leaving that white crap behind.

I haven't used the wax, but I love the Spray Detailer. The wax removal might be a little bit easier if you put it on, let it set up for a while, then put some of the spray on it to help the towel pick some of it up. I have seen detailers sometimes use glass cleaner to break up some of the tougher waxes. Just an idea...

Even if it doesn't work, I think that the spray is great to have around. My car is black, and it would be stupid to wax it every time I wash it. If I don't do anything, I have a ton of chamois marks and water-spots, the spray gets rid of them. Just like it says on the bottle, "great for in between waxes"
