Trunk swap help

Do you get a new lock or do you swap your existing one? How do you disconnect the harness from the lock mechanism? Also, how do you take the harness of the deck lid without messing up those black things holding the harness in place?
Sorry for the dumb questions

Well, you only swap trunks if you want your key to work, lol. The harness clips just take some finesse.

To take the latch and the lock out. You got to do this? . . . .

So correct me if im wrong. There are 3 bolts holding the latch in. 1 wire you have to disconnect and pull the tab? (for the lock)

Now is installing it the same way?

ya unbolt the bolts. the lock take the clip off thats holding the lock where u insert the key in.. the clip is inside get ur hand in there na pull it off. then remove the lock and then u can remove the black part of the lock .
