TSB: Door Trim Fix is crap

My parts came in for GM's answer all to the door trim fix. They posted a technical service bulliten and made special door trim plastic pieces that were bigger to cover there mistake. Anyway I got a call after I dropped my car off, my service advisor said that the techs started to install the new parts but when they realized how cheap and stupid they looked on the car they took them off. He said he refused to use the parts and would only put them on if I insisted after seeing them. So I went in and sure enough these things are the biggest pieces of **** I have ever seen. GM really screwed up on this one, not to mention they would have been attatched with exposed ugly screws, they didnt look right at all. Anyway now my car goes in tomorrow for door panel reapolstry..sp?.... So those that were thinking of this fix dont bother... GM blew it again, like they are doing over and over with this car imo.... later.

yea the part that sucks is the paint is kind of scratched on mine, like most others. I was hoping these would fix that too. I'm just going to have them order the originals if they can and replace those too when they replace the material.

What door trim are you talking about? The leather peice that seems to have been cut to small/short from the factory?

Yes, that is what he's refering to. I was not even aware the new parts were avaliable for power windows/locks. The last TSB I saw stated the parts would not be avaliable until Feb. I was hoping on a new "pullcup/bezel" for the passangers door. GM does have a larger one for manual windows to cover the material better, already installed some. I will check into this tomorrow.
