VHT Nightshades heads up
VHT Nightshades heads up
I'm still a noob at painting and spraying stuff, and I found out that Nightshades will eat part of your lights away if you get it to thick by mistake on a coat. I experimented with my Rev lights first, and in my basement where I sprayed them it did not seem dark, but after I took them out I was like OH **** lol. Now my brake lights got 2 really light coats and are turning out great.
So all in all, live and learn, I'll find a used set of lights and re do it eventually.

I agree that a body shop is best, but if you just want a slight tint to it, VHT is a great/cheap option.
Mine were done 4 years ago:

I wouldn't do VHT if you want em' dark. Just take it to a body shop.
3 coats 4 years ago. They're definitely lighter than they were at first. That pic is in direct sunlight tho...

You can see the difference in the reverse lights. I'm definitely going to have them professionally done next time.

I retract that VHT did it lol I think I left paint thinner on to long, but it's fine you can't see that part of the light anyway. I used 2 coats, and they look like glass as well, we are re doing my brake lights, as the humidity got to them, and they hazed. I'm only going to have 2 light coats done on them, instead of 2 medium ones.
