ok.. is it bad if u wash the car alot.. i have washed it on saturday, got my windows tinted monday than washed it on tues to get all the **** that was left on the car (the soap) and now on thursday i go outside and its dirty.. i am so **** about my car being clean.. is it bad to wash it this often?

 

Not at all, just keep up with the waxing. I wash mine 4 to 5 times a week and use spray on wax every time and paste wax once a month.

 

Holy **** 4 - 5 times a week!!! I try to do it once a week if not after a few weeks. I wax it once every month.

 

ok good.. my dad laughs and says that i will wash the clear coat right off the car..

as for paste wax.. what do u recommend.. i have meguires Nxt generation....

 

Must be some water bill you have cause thats insane! I am going to wash my car this weekend, the first time in 2 weeks. I can't imagine sparing the time 5 times a week to wash a car.

meguires Nxt generation. is the best wax ... th ebets one i have used othr then zaino... but iv never used zaino but my fathe ruses it on his vett and it seems to give a betetr shine then the meguires Nxt generation...

i wash mine about 2 times a week i live where it rains alot or there is dust all the time..so in between i sue meguires spray detailer or quick wax but you do not want to wax it to much because you will damage the clear coat it will not be as strong you should only paste wax your car 1 time a year this is coming from a ex boyfriend who is a painter and a body shop manager.....

 

I wash 2-3 times a week, sometimes less if I'm being lazy or it's raining a lot, and use wax as u dry while chamoising. I did a real wax a few months ago, will probably do another one before winter. A few times a year is probably good.

Um, no. Waxing your car will not damage the clear coat. Especially so with the NXT wax as it is specially formulated for clear coat paint.

 

I wash my Pursuit once or twice a week, followed by some quick wax. Then I try to wax it once a month. Now, people say that I'm lazy because last time a washed it was on July 5th

Hey what is the best way to clean your engion? Is it safe to pressure wash it?? lol I am sure you guys are going to be like hell no!!! I had a friend pressure wash his engion one time and it messed up his PCM some how. I am just curious what is the fastest way to get all the grease and dust off the engion with out taking the risk of messing up your electronic stuff.

 

maybe 2 times a week 3$ for the Phillips 66 Basic car wash.... blows away any of those "touchless" piece of **** car washes that cost 8$. and I dont know how to wax....

you can pressure wash your engine. I have done it on all my cars and never had a problem.... just try to let it dry off incase the water gets in any of the electrical connectors.
the "waterproof" ones..... haha

 

I hand wash once a week. Always follow up with complete dry and then spray wax. I hand wax (including claybar, paint cleaner, polish) once every three months. My baby is garage kept and stays out of the sun most of the time.

 

HOLY **** is right I wash mine once a week>(this is from my detailer) if you are goin to wash your car often try not to use too much suds,try to find a acrylic based wash(expensive) this wash has a natural hardner in it that acts as a shell and sealant keepin your shine without destroying the wax. I have only found one of these and it was at my dealership and it is 20 bucks for a bottle also this stuff has no suds

 

yeah, i hand wash when i find the time.. i take a really long time when i hand wash.. usually though i go to a foam and wash behind walmart and spend 10 bucks and i get a decent wash there... but i still end up being trhere for over and hour... the gf gets jeleous lol... paying more attn to my car!!! lol silly girl
