How do you get rid of water spots?
I have tried some old guy tricks like vineger, doesnt work been to all the auot parts store they now nothing.
I have also tried paint cleaner and windex. I was told to clay bar it , but thought i might have better luck asking here.

WTF? Windex? Use a decent soap to clean it and try just waxing it.

when i get water spots i just take my glass cleaner, spray the area and wipe off. If you cant get it out after all that crap, you might have a paint defect.

I have detailed many cars. I just wash the top with soap including windows, rinse. Then I clean one side, rinse. Then the other. Try not to keep your car in direct sun but if you dont have a choice and can't roll it in a garage, dry quickly with a shammy. Remember dont apply any force on the paint with a shammy. You will destroy your paint. Usually I take my car around the block to get all the water out of the cracks.

I found a sweet alternative to the shammy. ITs the california water blade. Made out of silicone, simply wipes the water away. I havent had any problems with paint either.

If all else fails, try the claybar. I've found that the mother's kit works best. Make sure you have enough detail spray on the paint (lubricant), and be prepared to be there for a while...you have to wash, dry, claybar, wipe off, wax, then buff (the claybar will remove the wax as well).

california water blade makes washing your car so much easier. it gets most the water off then i just use a large microfiber to get the rest off

no way....get the absorber. This is what it looks like ;

http://www.amazon.com/Absorber-Dryin...8&s=automotive

It can be found in any local store like wal-mart, auto-zone, target, ect. Works great, I [B]rarely[B] get water spot. Highly reccomend it. I've had my original one for almost 2 years now.
