Mixed things up a bit . I wanted to do the black chrome but I gotta lot of ideas at the Detroit auto show I wanted to try on the Coby headlights . Colors I used were low gloss gunmetal for the headlight and parking light surrounds , flat black for the lower surface in front of the headlight and parking light , also the inner ribbed part and non-reflector surface in the parking light ( to make the reflectors look blacked out in certain lighting ) . I left the bezels chrome , and the lower lip of the bezel chrome as well . Also , for the parking light , I found a PERFECT textured clear bezel at Menards to replace that big clear amber circle . Look better x's 10 than leaving nothing there at all . You do have to trim a bit to fit . Cool thing is too their cheap as hell . They were little sealed beam lights , the clear reflector is plastic and separate from the base pretty easily . Brand name is Malibu , pt# ML11P2 11 watt sealed beam light , 2 per pak @ $8.95 . In the HOME lighting section with all the light bulbs .
Here's pics of the latest . Not done yet , still havent found somthing suitable that clear to use for the square parking light .
Whatcha think?

Not bad.
Maybe take a white/clear rectangular reflector and bend it to fit the side. It would just take you heating it and then finding or making some thing to lay it on to make the curve.
EDIT: the malibu light makes it look like the C6 Corvette running lamp.

Hehe , I know exactly how to do it . Its been a matter of finding something that looks appropriate there , that hole is so big
. Now that its grey in that area, I may just fill that hole in and run a simple string of amber LED's there . Lights off , it would look like nothing is there at all .

I used the clear covering that goes over flourescent light fixtures in offices and schools. There's a few different patterns and textures to choose from. It looks amazing.
Wait, who the **** bumps a three year old thread?
