ok so i have an LS which meant no power anything in the doors (mirrors, windows, locks). I am going to be putting some interior lighting in different places in the doors and was wondering where the best place was to get power...

any and all help appreciated

 

hmmm...is there anything at all that lights up in te doors?? if not your gonna have to run the wire through where the grommet would go

wait do the LS's have a wiring harness in the doors?? for ppl tht want to put power to them

 

The only wires that go to the doors in the LS are the speaker wires and the side impact air bag sensor. You will need to snake a wire through the door jam. You can route it around the "plug"connector that connects the door wiring to the inside of the car (you'll know what I'm talking about when you start taking it all apart) I would just run a wire off of an empty fuse socket in your fuse box or run a new power wire from the battery in the trunk, with in in-line fuse right after it attaches to the battery.

 

they dont, i have aftermarket power windows and locks and they had to be run. if you open up the left kick panel on the passenger side, there is a large pinkish wire that you can tap, i dont rem if its ignition on or always on but that works

you can also tap into the cig lighter
