who says that people will just put these on their car for looks? i know i personally would need some and i am trying to find some. i would much rather put on one that is made for my car than try to rig up a universal one.

ive never been to a road course, only drag strips. y do u need tow hooks for out there? is it precautionary for if u crash?

When you slide/crash off the road on the course. They need to tow your ass off the track ASAP so the racing can continue. You think the tow truck guys want to dick around tying a hook to your frame? or have the liability of what happens ghetto rigging it? a tow hook on a track car makes it easy and fast to tow the car off quickly.

you called a koni challenge SS car's tow hook and I quote "FUGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" that is a track hook. I dont care if the hook comes on or off my car is going to be a track car. I'll drive it on the street if its nice out but wtf who cares if the hook is there. I'd hate to see half of the people saying **** own a real track car....ohhhh the mayhem.

who knows now...everyone is requesting they be made to look good and be taken off easy. Its either going to be expensive, only for looks or not happen... fabbing a custom may be come more worth while....

 

I could drill straight through the bumper into the bumper support for a tow hook, but that is not what I would consider a nice tow hook, lol.

Something that looks decent would be nice though.

i'll tell you what, when im on the road course and see $200000.00 cars either beeing pulled off the track by j-hooks or giant straps it turns my stomach, even with my little cobalt if i go off in the mud i don't need a 300lb corner worker trying to push my trunk in or dent my hood trying to help me back on the track,,,,

tow hooks for occasional track day cars= good idea!!

and you know what, i live in NYC so these sticking out would def help people be a little more cautious when parking, lol

 

Honestly, I could've used a tow hook when I was stuck in a snow and ice embankment in winter.. lol

I would be in for the fact that last winter I had to have my car towed twice outta the damn snow and I could only get to the rear cross beam to put the tow hook to, so this would be a help for me for the front

 

im gonna get some drawings this weekend and have a hopefully have one next week. ill deff take pics.
