Gettin my windows tinted today at 3!
The best part is, i dont know if the darkness of it is legal or not!!!
I guess i will find out shortly after having them done lol
Im getting it done at Alta Mere and its the dark shade.

ask them if they could put vinyl on the dot matrix so it doesnt end up like mine haha

Lol yeah i had that concern too, they are reallly good at installing tint so honestly im not worried at all about it.

I did 15% all around with a tint strip on my windshield 4 years ago and have yet to get a ticket in it. I live in a much better state than you tho lol the cops here actually have things to do and ******** to give tickets to, cmon its orlando lol

I also have those bubble problems where the dots are

 

20% frt and 5% rear for me

 

waiting to see how it looks like.. alta mere is a good place to get them done at to, they put keyless entry on my civic when i still had it lol

well ive seen people that put black vinyl there instead and it looks good.

35% all around. Legal, and still looks fresh. It looks classy. Anything darker gives off that drug dealer/gang-banger vibe to me.

 

heard that. 35% IS legal in IL now? ive been researching the law like a ninja this past month, going to get it done next check, and i can't make heads or talks of everything with tint % and light transmission %. Ive got the factory tinted glass with 70% light transmission, which i assume is 30% tint... does that mean i could only tint the extra 5% down? because if thats the case, im saving the money and buying springs...

 

thats why i put 5% on the back 3 windows and i think like 35 or 40% on the front cause the drug dealer/gang banger vibe is what i was going for!

dot matrix will look like that with any car, yes there are tricks out there but they don't work 100% all the time. something you have to live with, unfortunately the cobalts have one of the worst because the dots aren't the same size as they vary

 

I rock 5% all around, thats how we drug dealers do it

 

I have 15 all the way around, including windshield. And I love it. . . not tyring to act like a drug dealer just HATE it when im at a red light and that awkward stare that i get from people sometimes...now they cant see me whats this i hear about putting vinyl up there on those damn dots? does this actually work? mine looks bad up there and so do all the other balts around here.

welll i havent done it myself but yeah it should be cheap its just a strip of vinyl.

and if you have 5% on your back window you wont care about this vinyl limiting your visibility because its already hard as **** to see out of lol, impossible at night unless there is lights behind you.
