Window Tint
I have 15% all around with a 5% strip on windshield. I have what you have BPacak, I will get the vinyl eventually. The one place I went to charges 30$ for the vinyl tho... a lil expensive imo. I'ma find a different place.
welll i havent done it myself but yeah it should be cheap its just a strip of vinyl.
and if you have 5% on your back window you wont care about this vinyl limiting your visibility because its already hard as **** to see out of lol, impossible at night unless there is lights behind you.

I have a friend that has it... it's not bad at all. He has enough to cover all the dots ya kno. I plan on doing it soon, I hate how it looks crappy at the top cuz of the dots.
yeah I wasnt going to sand em down..didn't know how it would turn out so I did vinyl. Just got it done about 2 hours ago..with a black gloss vinyl. Looks really good actually, obviously you can't see the dots up top now at all though

the vinyl goes on the outside..I was VERY skeptical about this. If you go to a good shop that deals with tints/vinyls though, they should have different colors to choose from (matte black, gloss black, etc). The more shiny black matches near perfect with the blackened glass, looks great. Cost me $25..a little high I guess for 5-10 minutes of work but it looks a hell of a lot better than the ripped look of tint over the dots haha.

hey newb to the cobalt forum i aint had my windows tinted yet but very soon!! i got a silver ss wut percent yall think i should go with i think legal limit is 35 % around my woods lol but i dont care wut the cops think!
I just got 35% and love it. I have 20% on my rx8, it's a little dark for me (can't see someone outside your widows at night) haha. The 35% you can see out of pretty good at night and during the day all you can see is my silhouette.
I got 15 all around... It really does suck looking out at night especially if there are no streetlights, but if so then its not bad at all... I rolled down windows to back up haha.

gettin mine done monday morning. ill post some pics. asking about the vinyl strip in back too while im there. legal in IL is 35%, and with the factory tinted glass (barely) it will probably come down to about 32%. heads up, apparently more cops in counties are carrying tint gauges, but theres 5% leeway, so you could technically go as low as 30%. just dont tell the judge i told you that.

i got pulled over the other night and the cop like got all up on my car and knocked on my window and yelled ROLL DOWN THE WINDOWS!!! i was like ahh **** im bout to get yanked outa the car...
yeah it's stupid..the tint shops usually won't tell you that the dot matrix is there. They send the far out looking crappy and assume theyll get another 20-30 for a strip of vinyl. A few buddy's of mine all went to different places and not one of them mentioned it. Just collected their $$ and off they went ha
Yeah i need to get that strip, custom sounds charges 30 but i been looking for it cheaper. Yeah around where i live in il so many people have dark tint but its just about how lucky you are if the cops wanna get u for it or not.
