i get pulled over for tint all the time. you have to pass the light test if they ask you to. if you pass ur tint is legal and if it fails then u have to remove it, but you are allowed to have tint up to a certain point. i believe it is 35%

 

i got a ticket last week for mine i have 2.25% on the sides and back and 28% on the windshield that cop was havin a fit lol thats the first time in almost a year ive been pulled over though hes like the only cop that cares, he tried making me strip it all off right there hes ****** crazy if he thinks im doing that its about 400 dollars worth of tint...cheaper to pay the ticket than retint it

 

oh i love washington! they are a very good state if you like to mod your car the tint law here is 35% all around, well...uhh i have 25/20 on my car and not one ounce of problems. i see people with 5% that have never been pulled over. cops here would rather pull you over for something else than tint on your window....

 

lol same here... in NM they dont care much but im playing it safe (sorta) and i have a fade going on so i don't anticipate any problems anytime soon. Really only the rear window is crazy dark

 

ok I need to know how to get the "tint perscription" I just got pulled over for that and my gm exhaust being too loud cause "the cop just knows it was too loud". what a ******* tool. anyway the tint stays, and I'm not paying 108 bucks cause its nice out and the ****** was bored. I let that bastard out of his driveway every god damn day on my way to work when no one else will and the ****** has the ***** to treat me like **** when he pulls me over for some stupid tint and him being all ruffled by a factory muffy. is it possible to get the perscription in reality? and what do you need to ask for?

 

That **** irritates me... What next cry that gooberment needs to pass a law that says you can't have shades on your windows in your house because cops can't see in before they server a warrant... Give me a break and man up. You picked the line of work, be a big boy and deal with the situation without mandating BS like tint laws on the general population... In Florida millions of cars are tinted and the cops are man enough to do their jobs safely without imposing douche bag edicts that allow every dirt bag loser that strolls past your car to have a peek at your ****. I had over $10,000 worth of electronics stolen out of my '89 T/A while the local cops were busy slamming French Crawlers and writing tint tickets on the Blvd. less than 1˝ blocks away...

BTW they did an excellent job writing the report, didn't even spill a drop of their ******* coffee on it!!!

 

as long as your tint isn't reflective, cops shouldn't care about being able to see through tinted windows. isn't that why they have those bright-ass em-effing spot lights?

 

It makes sense for laws to limit the amount of tint on a vehicle. It's left up to the cop whether or not he's a douchbag and just feels like giving out a ticket for it.

 

just put it this way....all tint is illegal because the cops don't like tint so always expect a tint ticket comin at ya if the cop is a dick or your a dick to the cop.
