Window Tinting
Window Tinting
Just bought a white SS was wondering what percentage tint would look the best with the white car. The law in my state allows 5% on the back three, i just dont want it to be to dark and stand out, or take away from the apperance of the car in general.
What is everyone's opinon on 20%, to light?

I want window tint too but PA really does suck. In PA you can't have window tint at all on your car and only the back windshield on a truck. I know i got pull over way to many times for rear window tint. And the tickets are more then $50. But yeah, i would get 20 also!
I used to have 5% on my mustang (all around) and in jersey they don't like that stuff at all. Basically the end result was me taking off the front sides and having 4 tickets. Oh and leaving your dome light on at night will make the tint look legal (to an extent!) I got pulled over during the day each time except one ticket, which was my first ticket for the tint.

As an aside, your vision out those windows is also tinted 80%. Anyone who has 5% knows how hard it is, at first, to drive at night.

No amt of tint in PA is legal unless it is factory or if it is a medical necessity.

I live in the state of Ga and the state law is 32%, I got mine done at 27% all the way around w/ an eye brow on the front windshield. I also have black leather interior so it looks a bit darker than it is. I put 5% on the sunroof as well. I like riding around w/ the visor open but hated the heat and all the sun light that got in. It def. keeps the car a lot cooler.
I found this to be interesting and a little confusing for all the PA drivers.

So I guess we can have lower then 70% since there really isn't anyway to inforce it and if they would give you a citation you should be able to get it overturned becuase lack of proof.
I plan on printing some of this stuff and keeping it in my glove box to rub in the officers' faces when they pull me over.
