Wingless SS/SC
all this talk about taking the wing off has gotten me thinking about doing it too. damn you all! i was happy with the car when i drove off the lot!! lol. i think i saw a link a few months back where you could buy basically a screw with a top that would fit in the hole left by the wing. anyone happen to either know what i mean or know of the link? if i were to take the wing off i wouldn't want to weld the truck, i'd want to remain open to possibly putting the wing back on in the future.
love the wing, it makes the car makes it stand out. otherwise the car just blends into the scene. Like others have said, the ONLY way you take the wing off is if you tint and lower your car an inch or more...

You almost have to be lowered (and silver )imo to ditch the wing . I hated the wing when i first bought my car , but now i seem to change my mind daily on weather to go with a low pro or not . I think Black W/hi rise looks ok.
Black SS/SC looks good wingless, I like the SS/SC wing on my LS. (Did the swap yesterday)
I remember the first time I was surprised by an ss/sc in front of me (the first time I realy noticed one) it had such presence because the back end has a brick wall effect. With the rear end jacked off the ground like it is and the fat wing hides alot of the window. You find yourself staring at the ass end of car instead of the cars infront of it through the windows like you can normally.
Until then I hated cobalts because I thought the LT models looked like ass (like most GM cars)
Wingless to me makes the car look even more like a streatched hatchback. In the end it seems to look like a different car. It's got its own sex appeal. And silver seems to be able to pull it off the best.
But to me the wing makes the car what it is.
