I have a 2.2 auto sedan and Id like to start autocrossing. will I be able to do this safely? in other words will I be able to participate in autox events without blowing my motor and breaking my tranny.

Yes. Drive within your limits and you will be fine. I run my 2.2 Coupe and do just fine.

Coilovers are a bit overrated, unless they have camber plates. Get a camber bolt kit, good springs, and a good alignment with a little more negative Camber. Rear sway bar also will definitely help.

You don't need any mods to autox. Actually, the fact that you have mods throws you into harder classing. People autox all sorts of stuff. This is a sport that rewards the driver more than the car. Anyone that tells you different has no clue.

i don't really care about what class i am or whether i win. i just want to do some form of racing and have fun doing it. mods also make the car more fun to drive and control
