Autocrossing in MI
I will be racing either a 95 Miata or 95 Cavalier, no Cobalt for me. But there were a few different Cobalts and Redlines racing in the Detroit area last year, and hopefuly they will be back this year. Everybody is usualy pretty friendly, so saying hi to anybody shouldn't be a problem. That gos for the rather large cluster of Jbodys that should be present, so if you need help or have questions at an event, im sure we can help.
As for more info as to the schedule, It can be found here...

You can register, pay online, and find other events all over the place if you make an account here...

The account is free to make, and you can find a lot of events that aren't put on by the SCCA, plus non solo events like track days, rally cross, full on racing ect.
Last one is a local board mainly for the Detroit area. Most of the regular autocrossers are on it, and a lot of info can be found off it, sometimes even the run/work order a day or 2 before the event, most helpful when you have friends or relatives that want to watch, but not sit around all day waiting. It can be found here...

Ahh yes, i'll possibly be at some of the SCCA events.
But even more-so at tracks like Blackhawk or Waterford. MCSCC has a bunch of events each year. Gingerman as open practice days almost every week.

More of a western michigan kind of thing, but worth the drive for me.
