If You Do Road Course Track Days an Invitation

Good Morning Cobalt Fans:

I have no idea if any of you are doing open track days, but just a quick note to invite any road course drivers out there to join MVP Track Time for track days in 2008. You can find us at www.MVPTrackTime.com. We are open to all makes of cars and convertibles that meet the rules.

Our 2008 track days (so far) are as follows:

April 21 - Putnam Park (Near Indianapolis) [Tax Freedom Track Day - SOLD OUT!]
May 9 - Summit Point (West Virgiania) [Private Corporate Event - SOLD OUT!]
June 2 - Autobahn Country Club (Near Joliet, IL.) - SOLD OUT!
August 18 - Autobahn Country Club
September 13 & 14 - Blackhawk Farms (Near Beloit, WI) [Our 1st Weekend Event]

Both Autobhan dates are once again the entire 3.56 mile road course. None of this namby-pamby 1/2 track stuff. We will be announcing at least one more track weekend for 2008 soon.

Registration with Pay Pal, credit card or via downloadable form (mail in check) is available at:

http://www.MVPTrackTime.com/id47.html

Happy Motoring and I'll see you at the track!

I took my SC to track day events with NASA at Putnam and Gingerman and had a great time. The Cobalt is a respectable track car with both my instructors giving it thumbs up, hell I even passed a Ferrari ( bad driver). If you have the opportunity do this, unfortunately my SS got totaled by some blond running a stop sign so I have to wait for my SS TC to arive.

CobaltBlackSS:

The instructors are there for our Novice drivers to use as they see fit. The instructors are complimentary as part of your entry fee. I hope to see all of you at the track.

Best money I have ever spent is getting out on a road course (Barbers Motorsport Park, twice). The SS/SC are bad A on a road course...that is what they are made for, NOT drag'in. Definately get an instructor, if they are good& know FWD cars they will help you go faster& push the car harder than you think possible! Go for it.

I never realized how good my SC was on a road course until I let my instructor take the wheel. He normally drives an 05 Z-06 , but still ended up with a **** eating grin when he was done with my car. He ended up buying a SC for his wife, someday he might let her drive it.

I bought an open face G Force that has the current snell rating for $149.00 . Be sure to check the min. requirements with the organization that is doing the event. Usually DOT and motorcycle helmets arent permited.

Cobalt:

RedSC is correct. Like many organizations, we do NOT allow motorcycle or karting helmets at MVP Track Time track events. Only SA2000 or the newere SA2005 helmets are permitted. The web link below offers an elplanation of the differences:

http://www.mvptracktime.com/id76.html

Visit Simpson Racing (www.TeamSimpson.com) for a wide variety of high quality helmets. Happy Motoring and I hope to see you all at the track.

Sign up for the EMRA event next weekend and come run Shennadoah. You can run HPDE 1 or 2 or if you have the credentials run the TT.

TrackDaze runs great events at Summit Point 3 times a year.

Check them out at http://www.trackdaze.com

Best track time for the money. Extremely well organized, professional organization with no hidden costs. Instructors are included in the registration fee.

TrackDaze has worked closely with a few major car manufacturers to provide enthusiast events for customers. Most recently is Volkswagen of America.

They've been featured in EuroTuner and also Grassroots Motorsport Magazine.

Dunkin, we are patiently (well impatiently) waiting for a 2-day window at VIR for a track event. SIGH...

Autobahn August 18th was near perfect, barring a few offs. We had a full house for a gorgeous day. Let's hope September 13th & 14th at Blackhawk Farms is the same.

Spots are still available for our Blackhawk Farms weekend. Please visit us at www.MVPTrackTime.com for details or to register.

Happy Motoring and I'll see you at the track!

Good Afternoon All:

We've (www.MVPTrackTime.com) received a significant number of inquiries about a single day registration at Blackhawk Farms so we are making available a limited number of 1-day registrations for Blackhawk Farms September 13th OR 14th for $235 by request only. Contact me at Feffman@MVPTrackTime.com for a single day registration.

Of course we still have full weekend registrations available as well!
