I do plan on getting YYZ springs and Konis before I track it.
GMS1 is fine, make sure you are running 93-94.. NLS would stay away

Wilwood 570 is cheap and good, i'm sure others will recommend other stuff

Don't get yyz and koni's before you track it

Learn the car.. then get.. if anything pick up a street or hardcore bar first

you will be very surprised how capable this car is stock, though it does need some work with rear end rotation...

I say get the Konis. The YYZ can wait til after you get an event or two in. The Konis will dramatically reduce the amount of crazy undulation that the crappy stock shocks allow. If you blast over curbs, it really upsets the car, if you're already sliding. It's quite unpredictable, and may require big steering correction to fix. I had this issue on the bone stock car, with only GMS1 and sticky tires.

GMS1 is a nice safe tune for the most part. I richen up the mid range a bit, because it runs crazy lean there, but I leave the top end fairly lean. There's plenty more power to be had, but it won't necessarily drop lap times as dramatically as you may think, unless you're just on a big HP course. Still though, it's fun to scare all the V8 guys in my little Cobalt. Don't think I could go back to GMS1

There are lots of good brake fluids out there these days. Pick one. Pads do make a big difference. I run the Raybestos ST43. They're really good! I've gotten a few people to convert to them already.

I already have two track days at Road America for next season with groups I've ran with before, just waiting for them to open registration... One in May and one in June.

Then I'll plan on doing a couple days out at Blackhawk with the Milwaukee and Chicago SCCA groups, and call that good for the season. Chicago has their track day schedule out, Milwaukee doesn't.

As far as AutoX goes, Milwaukee has it's schedule out, Chicago doesn't. But I have little interest in that, so I don't care that much. I'll probably still do one or two if I have friends who convince me to show up.
Are you going to the MFBA event at Road America this year? I'm assuming it'll be at the end of April like this last year. I know I'm going again.
