Just bought a red SS from Humberview in T.O.

I should get it in 10 weeks....I guess it takes them that long to make

Does anybody really know if you can get this car with Recaro's or are they aftermarket?

Also you can't get heated seats..........gotta wait until you get the car and then the dealership can hook you up for about $500 bones.

I'd like someone who's got theirs to tell me how the stereo sounds....I've already got an amazing system that I'd take out of my old 2001 Z24(speakers and sub and all) but I don't know if it's worth it to have them take out all the existing speakers.

 

no recaros and lsd quafie for canada,sound systems is pretty good for stock i have a red ss/sc she pretty quick for 205 hp i think it has more hp, i wanna get this dyno

 

oh well...i heard that one is gone......at least i sat into it once....

 

yea even if its still there the dealer wont give it up to any other dealer... so what can u do...

 

ya i live in woodbridge... we gotta hook up... picked my ss s/c april 14th at north york chev... only 150 are being shipped to ontario for the 2005 model year... 25 being in the gta.... good luck to those who ordered one... mine was ordered through fleet... (employee purchase) picked it up fully loaded for $27,350.... 3 year 0% finance...dealer wanted more money for my purchase... but little haggling did the trick.... dealers are hanging on for the reason being they are bumpin up the sticker prices... base SS they askin 26.... and they not budging at all... good luck to all

 

all i know the guy that got his down the street form me has the excat same one u have and i dont knwo if ur the same dude that lives down the street from me.... and ye amy ss works out to about the same prices as yours.... im jsut wiating there at the plante... so not much i can do....

 

I find it hard to believe that only 25 of the 150 would be coming to the GTA considering that the GTA makes up about half of the population of ontario.

well i heard some what the same but only 300 were coming in ontario i was the first regrstied in ontario i picked up 2nd last week of march anyways thats what my sales guy told me so who knows i havent seen any sss whats so ever but i work in toronto and live in maple

north york chev is a big joke i just had a bad experince with them they took my car i was trading in for a test drive for a good 25mins while i was talking the salemen, they told me give ur keyswill look at the car, i never told me there were driving it and north york offered $7,000 for my car this was back in feburary good thing i didnt and waited i went gateway, while gateway gave me 10800 for it

 

Yah the stock system is pretty decent...i have a system in my other car and i still think the one in the SS is better

i ordered mine on march 9th of 2005..... 6 weeks it took me to get it.....

 

i orderd my yellow SS w/ moon roof Feb 7 from Smith Chev Olds in Kamloops and im still waiting on any information!

 

i should of went to a different dealer i would of got mine by now ****** since dec iv been waiting...so bro u live on the same street as me?

and to Cobaltss313.................I've got a sweet 850 watt amp and the deck I've got is a nice flip out with another 200 watts boost in it but if I put that in the stock SS do you think those speakers will handle it????? Here's the thing............now I'll have to back to the shop and have them remove all speakers(and tweets and the amp) and put the old stock back into my Z24 and then remove all the speakers and sub and deck from the SS and put my system into that one.....................that's a hell of alot of work and will cost some bones I'm sure!!!!

 

ya i guess so .... what house you at..... what color did u order.... did u get it with onstar and the sunroof? its a fun ride man... turns alot of heads... i think mainly cuz there is very few out there... i must be the first in woodbridge to have one.... shoot by if u want... have a look at the car...

yea man next time i see you ot i will for sure... how does it drive i dont know if you drove the ls coupe as well, but does it drive good? just to warn you my sister got the 4 door ls coupe and she had alot of prob with it so hopefuly the SS dont got that much problmes cuz i was second thinking about getting one with all the probs my sister had with her four door LS...

 

may I ask what problems she has had

 

well so for no problems with with min i have 2100km on it so far knock on wood

 

and I have 1600 kms on it in the past 2 weeks

 

I dont know how many watts the stock speakers are so i couldnt tell you but...i wouldnt want to take the chance until i found out cuz i wouldnt want to blow them out
