Black Smoke From Exhaust In My 05 SS/SC... PLEASE HELP

My Friends Have Always told me that my 05 SS/SC has spit out some black some..

Just today i went to go out and when i started up the car i noticed it even more....

i gave it a few hit on the gas peddle and i could not believe the amount of black smoke coming out..

I purchased my car from Bob Myers (Ajax)
i have a real problem with the service guy at this dealership, i brought my car in 2 months after i got the car for the leather around the door, and the silver paint pealing, plus ever since i had the car my stearing wheel has a huge dent in the leather and two big bumps at the bottom under the leather.. nplus my shift knob broke so they super glued it back on and told me they had ordered another one (now i have been waiting and got fed up and just got a new b&m SHIFTER) so i could care less about the shifter.. AT LEAST NOW..

i have also tried to take it in for break work and they told me the wear was normal and that little shaking while breaking was only cause the breaks where hot and needed to cool more

i seriously wanted to bitch slap this F*$K right in the face...

I wanna know if i can take my car to any chevrolet dealership and take it in..

plus does anyone know a number to call to complain, i used to have it but lost the number....

now they told me they where

I had black smoke for a short while, I was also experiencing cold start problems. I believe it was a fuel quality issue. Ever since I bought it back home from school (250 miles away) it has run perfect.

Take it to another gas station if you fill up at the same place all the time.

You can take your car to any chevy dealer you want. GM pays the dealer who works on it.

for anything that is covered under the warranty you can take it to ANY chevy dealership, however, if it something that the dealer itself screwed up (such as body damage) it has to be dealt with through them

Ya Mike

Don't take it to back to Bob Myers.... I am never taking my car back to that craphole ever again....

Remember when they said they would fix the body alignment issues.. And when I got it back it still look like crap and I wasn't happy.. Well I had to take my car in for somethings recently..

So I took it back to Nurse where I had the axle fixed.. So I asked them to fix the bodypanels so they would line up proper.. And sure enough they were able to do it in shorter time them Bob Myers and they did it right the first time.. Meanwhile Bob Myer told me that was the best they could.. SOB's

So I wouldn't take it back there again.. Bring it over to Whitby lol... Also my passenger side axle seal is leaking now.. So I need to wait for the parts so I can take it back in...

I am having the same problem as well.. I am blowing black smoke sometimes too.. I even noticed it more now cause the snow is on the ground so you can see where it spits out of the tailpipe.. So when I take it back into the dealer for the seal I am gonna have them look at that as well..

I kind like it.. Cause I get some cool rental cars sometimes lol... Lasttime I took it in (2 days ago) I got a 2005 Sierra 4x4 truck lol.. Lots of fun in the snow I tell ya... So maybe I can get a truck again when it goes it..

the cars run rich to start with but if you watch it carefully, make sure you dont see any peices comming out or you WILL need a new cat.

I only have black smoke when I accelerate pretty hard when the engine isnt up to normal temps . It looks like black smoke you get when a engine is running rich . I dont have and havent ever had any cels or hard start problems in 16,000 miles .

i wouldnt worry about it, the car runs rich from the factory, some black smoke is okay, as long as its not as bad as a diesel i wouldnt worry about it, hell, better running rich then lean, lean = kaboom!

They reflashed my ECU . I got my SS/SC in May and was told the early ones were running richer than normal. Is it a consistent puff during acceleration or only when you first stomp on it?

Mines doing it too... Everyone is saying that it's just running rich... Then why would I be throwing cels saying it's running too lean? I go in Monday to have it checked.
