Going to the US to install mods???
Has anyone crossed the border to get mods done on their cars in the US? If so, were there any problems with customs on the way back in? Did they notice the mods or did they even care?
It just seems there are a lot more performance shops just south of the border in Buffalo, Rochester, etc. With the CDN dollar being so strong, I think it would make sense to make a trip down there. For example, if I get a lowering kit for my SS/SC, do you think Canadian customs would notice? I could just tell them it was already lowered in Canada. Thoughts or comments anyone??

The only thing I would be concerned about with having work done is if they f*** something up when adjusting your camber or something like that, getting warranty from the shop will be a pain in the ass. Bolt on stuff that you can take on and off is always good to buy there though. One more tip, run your car through a car wash and make sure it is clean inside if before crossing the border with mods. When I got caught for the tires the car was covered in mud and tires looked way too clean for the rest of the car
crossed the border to buy rims once and they stoped me and did a check, and say my four originals in my trunk. luckly they let me off I told him that there my raceing wheels, and I use them at the track. lol
