Toronto and Southern Ontario Cobalts!

Hey, my name is Mike (big surprise eh?) and I will be getting my Cobalt SS/SC soon. I was just wondering/seeing how many other people from the Toronto area are getting Coblats of any kind.

I am in a car club locally called grandsontario.com. It is a club designed specifically for Grand Prix and Grand Am (as well as Alero) owners, but anyone driving GM is more then welcome to hang out with then|m. We have Fiero's, Camaro's, Cobalts, etc in the club.

Anyway, point is we meet every Friday night around 9pm at Kennedy Commons (Kennedy Road and 401) and Wednesday's in the summer. So once our cars come in, I was seeing if any of you want to come out, compare rides, see other modified GM cars, etc. Maybe if you get enough of us, we can be the local chapter of CobaltSS.net in Toronto.

We also set up meets all over southern ontario, and do a lot of Drag Racing at St Thomas and Cayuga Drag strips!

I was thinking the same thing

i heard about the no center console
some say the interior is cheap

but im going to hold out before i make my decision

i think the SRT-4 is worse than the cobalt - even my buddy that owns a SRT-4 says the cobalt is better

although its not faster, the cobalt is nicer

and i think with the GM stages, it will be just as fast

I hope the GM stages are nothing like the GM supercharger kits....anyone who has been around the j-car scene, knows how long those took to come out.

The Eco supercharger is still not out yet, same with projectors, the Technic Z24, etc, etc .............

Basically he means that anyone with experience in the Cavalier/Sunfire scene has had special parts from GM promised for years upon years and nothing ever got done. They are slow to bring out performance parts....very slow.

I was thinking of an SRT, but they are just so damn cheap looking and feeling. nice engine or not I think the SS with a slightly slower engine is still miles ahead.
