Small close groups of intelligent people > large group of full potato cobalt owners

 

I'm not talking a bunch of people doing neutral drops in their G5's during a meet. During the summer for a better part its just Mike and me that meet up on Sundays. The odd person pops in from time to time. Not saying I would want a massive group of retards. But more dedicated people who like to do meets and hit up Gimli a couple times a summer. Like the first time I went to Gimli there was like 6 of us. It was a blast. Conflicting schedules is always an issue I know.

And there's a ton of Balts in this city. Highly doubt they're all dumbasses. Like half the people on here want to sell their car. I'm still an enthusiast with mine. It's sweet talking/hanging out with others.

 

When the group first started (before you peasants) we had a solid group of people. We'd go out every sunday and most of those people are still very good friends of mine.

A few things have changed since then.

1) the price of cobalts have dropped, typically that attracts more retarded people

2) cops presence on "cruise night" have increased dramatically, not to mention they have said this year they will increase that.

It's funny because on TTI there is new cobalt owners joining almost weekly it seems, 9/10 of them are full potato.

Rarely any real enthusiasts do cruise night anymore, mostly because of the police presence.

As for police on Sundays I would have to disagree with you. You act like an idiot on Sunday night then yes, you're going to get hassled. Otherwise Cops actually aren't bad at all. But we just park. Don't drive up and down Portage which helps a ton.

And you say enthusiasts don't go out Sundays? Go to the Pony Corral on a Sunday night and tell me enthusiasts don't go out.

TTI actually has a solid group of people who know their ****. They meet friday nights at a private location so they can boot out the asshats. I know you think it's a bunch of ricers but it's actually not.

So i guess i can't have an opinion based on anything i haven't seen first-hand? Nothing in the news. Nothing i have heard from several sources. Nawp not at all. Weather channel says its warm in Hawaii, but I’ve never been there so i can't have an opinion on it.

News says crime rate is high in the city's core, but i've never been raped and pillaged down there so i can't have an opinion on it.

As far as me not participating on cruise night and that being your correlation for me disliking car events, I went to a lot of meets last year, I went to st andrews one day for autox, i was active with the community over winter on other forum groups outside of cobaltss.net and i plan to attend lots of meets/track events this summer.

Just because i don't race at Gimli doesn't mean i don't participate in car related events.

I apologize if i don't like doing 1st gear rips down portage and spend my sunday nights in a mcdonalds parking lot putting cheeseburgers down my pants with you and mike.
